Tips to Choosing a Career

1. Before even choosing a career, you must know what is the difference between a Career and a Job? One significant difference is; career looks at your future self. Answer 5 years down the road, what am going to be?
2. Then, know yourself before even looking at jobs. Evaluate your personality style and observe your natural habits. Am I naturally outgoing who loves to interact or am I the type who has the patience to read tons of material? Certain personality style works well in some industries.
3. Only then you can start reviewing the job descriptions that matches your personality and skills at the moment.
4. Evaluate your skills. What am I good and bad at? If you don't have the skills required yet to perform the job, ask do I have the interest to learn it? If yes, invest time and persevere in acquiring these new skills.
5. Once you have the basic skills; hone it and be the best at it. Only then, your career journey will start.
